PolTrans aims to develop a prototype of a cross-polarized transmissometer for the detection of birefringent particles in water.
The main result of this project was the following patent: Neukermans, G. and Fournier, G. R. (2022). “A method to produce a matched pair of polarizing filters and a method and apparatus to determine the concentration of birefringent particles using a pair of polarizing filters”, International Patent WO/2022/002939.
